Cover Kid

Trevor is on the cover of the Little Rock Kids Directory! I really never thought they would choose our photo. Jody took lots of pics of him during soccer camp, and this one was my favorite! I sent it in, thinking it was a long shot, and then I forgot about it. Then, a week or so later, I had a voice mail on my cell phone and I couldn't believe it. It's cheesy really, but we are EXCITED! They say everyone gets their 15 minutes of fame...Jody joked that Trevor got the cover and he (Jody) didn't even get a byline or photo credit. Oh well. Such is the life of a parent. Of course, I'm been driving all over the place trying to find extra copies! The Tuckers and the Hortons couldn't be more proud of their "Little Kicker", and everyone has been asking for one. Speaking of soccer, we're getting ready for fall soccer. I know Trevor will love it. It will be SO much better than playing in early July when it was 95 degrees!

Love this picture of the kids! It captured a moment when they were playing together peacefully. Not always the case. We are definitely in the "terrible twos" with Sarah this summer. But then there are moments like this when your heart melts!

Trevor really loved playing T-ball earlier this summer. Here's a photo of him during one of his games. It will be interesting to see what he likes more--T-ball or soccer. So far he says he likes both. He's going to play fall soccer so we'll see!

We took the kids to Magic Springs again yesterday. They had a blast! The water slides were working in the kiddie pool (they weren't working when we went last time) and were a big hit! Even Sarah loved them. We were there 5 hours and it was nearly 100 degrees, so the entire day was really exhausting but so much fun! It was especially funny to hear Sarah squeal as she came down the slide and landed in my arms, only to say "I do that again!"

Soccer Camp

Trevor and his buddy Weston went to soccer camp again this summer on July 6-10. It lasted for one week and they both had a blast! All of the kids really matured from last year, and had improved in so many ways! It was fun to watch them play one-on-one and to see them laugh and enjoy it despite the heat! Trevor really tried hard and didn't give up, even when it was 95 degrees and he was TIRED on the last day. All of the kids were happy to participate but happy when it was over and they got their T-shirts and heard the ice cream truck. What a treat for some deserving boys and girls, and what happy memories for us all! Soccer camp marks the end of Trevor's sports activities for the summer (T-ball, swim lessons, and soccer camp).
Welcome to The Tucker Tales! We hope you enjoy our stories, photos, and day-to-day happenings. We have been very busy this summer so enjoy the photos and I'll try to post another entry soon.
