Trevor had his preschool Easter Party today, and both of the kids really enjoyed it. The Easter Bunny made a surprise visit and hid eggs for the kids so they had an egg hunt which was lots of fun! It was a perfect spring day. At one point, Sarah found an egg in a tree and she exclaimed "OH MY GOSH!" which made all of the parents laugh. All of the kids got to have their photos taken with the bunny and each child received a chocolate bunny in addition to the filled eggs they found. Afterwards, they went back inside to enjoy ice cream with all of the toppings imaginable. The day rounded off with play time outside in the backyard playground. Both kids had a blast, but Sarah was in heaven. She has envied her brother getting to go to preschool and play on the playground for 2 years. She really enjoyed getting a glimpse of his world and it was good for her. She will be going to the same preschool this fall, and she absolutely cannot wait!

Spring Break
We took the kids to Florida for spring break this year, and they had a blast! They spent a lot of time playing on the beach, swimming in the heated pool, and just enjoying themselves. The weather was a little cool when we arrived, but got better as the days passed. Finally, on Friday, our last full day, the weather was absolutely perfect. That day we all went on a 2-hour dolphin cruise around Destin. The kids were excited to get to sit in the captain's seat and steer, and to see the dolphins which came right up to the boat. Trevor took his Fisher Price digital camera and was snapping photos all over the place. I really enjoyed watching their faces and doing something different that day. We were also pleasantly surprised that the beach was not too crowded yet. We really enjoyed spending time together and the kids enjoyed getting to see their Ya-Ya and Papaw for an entire week.

"I'm free years ol today!"
Today is Sarah's birthday! Here is a photo of her on the bike she got from Mama, Daddy, and big brother. She is soooo proud to finally have a bike like big brother. Even though she is having a birthday party, we wanted to celebrate in our own way at home on her day. Daddy came home at lunch so he could see her face when she got it. Then, the kids rode bikes and played outside for a while this afternoon. Afterwards, we made cupcakes with sprinkles--her favorite. Tonight on the phone she told Grandma, "I'm free years ol today!"
