So proud of our little girl who just played her first game of Tee Ball. She missed the cut off for girls' softball by 20 days, but wanted to play anyway. So she's playing with the boys, and BOY did she ever play tonight! She scored two runs (both times at bat) and caught a grounder and threw it to first base. She's quite a little ball player for having only made one team practice before tonight. Guess the two years of watching brother play and practicing at home is paying off a little bit. The only thing she doesn't like about the game is that she doesn't get to play first base. She asked me if I thought Coach would switch them around sometime and let her play first base. I didn't have the heart to tell her I didn't think so.

Spring Break 2011
Here are photos from our Spring Break trip to Florida. We had a blast and the weather was really great! Highs in the high 70s/low 80s everyday except the last with NO RAIN the entire week! The kids enjoyed playing on the beach and hanging out with Ya Ya and Papaw. Even though we've been several times, the weather was exceptional this year, which made everything else (like playing in the pool) better than ever. We all went swimming and wore summer clothes everyday! The biggest shocker was coming home where it was 20 degrees colder and rainy. So glad for the little taste of summer.

Valentine Party II
We had Valentine Party round two on Tuesday, February 15th. Sarah's preschool class Valentine party was supposed to be held on the 10th, but was postponed due to the snow. Her class only meets twice a week, so their party was a little late, but the kids didn't know the difference and had a blast anyway! Her 3-year-old class is SO CUTE and fun to watch. This was the first time many of them had ever been to a class Valentine party. Sarah had been to a couple with big brother, but this was her very own, and boy was she excited. She kept asking Mommy everyday, "Is my party tomorrow?" She has been so cute dragging her goodies around. She has taken inventory of her candy bucket so many times I'm afraid it won't be fit to eat. So happy she had fun and glad she finally had her turn. The little ones are so much fun! After helping with two parties two days in a row, Mommy was tired and had to take a nap!
Valentine Party
Trevor's Valentine's Party for his kindergarten class was held on Monday, February 14th. They had an ice cream sundae party, complete with treat bags and all of the ice cream toppings anyone could possibly want. The kids all brought Valentines for their classmates and made Valentine folders, which turned out great, and are much easier to store than boxes. Some of the parents sent candy and other treats that were put in the treat bags. Mom and Dad both got to go and visit Trevor's party, and sister even got to eat a little bit of ice cream herself. Trevor had a good time until it was time for Mommy to leave. He was a little disappointed because he thought he was going to get to leave early too. One of the parents sent Valentine balloons which were put in the treat bags, and some of the boys got a little rowdy at the end of the party (from excitement and sugar, no doubt), so the teacher had to end things pretty quickly. Overall, the kids all seemed to have fun.
